Model Farm
Simon Cutter is the farmer at Model Farm. Educated at Cirencester Agricultural College between 1977-1980, he studied and practiced traditional farming for over 30 years including time spent farming in Australia. Simon has been a pioneer in the rearing of pasture fed livestock and produce.
Simon has a thorough knowledge of sustainable and humane farming methods and is always willing to answer impartially any queries that people may raise at a time when consumers worry more than ever over the quality of the food they and their families eat.
On the farm we keep rare & indigenous breeds of animals which include 110 suckler cows and followers on extensive grass farmed organically under the Higher Level Stewardship scheme. We also have 400 easy care ewes which thrive naturally on our traditional grass and herbage. This results in extra taste and extra Omega 3 when compared to intensive corn fed imported breeds.
Everything which is raised here at Model Farm can be purchased at our Farm Shop or sent out to you via courier.
We also supply various buying groups and are happy to support other such groups in the community.
