Situated in Brentwood, Essex, Coxtie Green Farm was born out of a desire to produce superior quality produce whilst maintaining the highest welfare standards and truly farming from the heart. Our herd of Traditional Pedigree Hereford's and flock of Southdown X sheep roam freely, in their natural environment and under calm conditions. We also rear Berkshire Pigs, who have the freedom to root and forage freely. One of the prime reasons that our beef, lamb and pork tastes so fantastic is that the animals quality of life is truly exceptional and they are only fed a natural diet - for beef and lamb this is grass, for our pigs this is an organic mix of daily essentials.

We believe that our produce is some of the finest and is a direct result of working carefully with our environment. When you decide to work with nature instead of against it, everything falls into place.

All of our animals are raised following Organic principles and are on pasture their entire lives. At the forefront of the Farm's ethos is traceability; we can trace every animal, every carcass and every cut of meat to the exact cow, sheep or pig. Our Grass Fed animals are not just better for the environment but for us too. The fat profile of grass fed animals has been proven to be of a higher quality to grain fed, containing higher levels of CLA and being digested preferentially by our own bodies.

With a belief in compassionate and sustainable farming we had been buying organic, grass fed meat for the home for over 30 years. When our opportunity to purchase and bring a farm back to life came, we set about putting these fundamental principles in to practice with our family-run smallholding.
