Elsworthy English Longhorns are a native cattle herd on the Brendon Hills of Exmoor; 100% pasture-reared and grass-fed for their whole lives, slowly grown until they naturally reach maturity.

Pasture-rearing leads to the healthiest of cattle. The animals graze medieval Exmoor pastures, browsing hedge-rows while getting a wealth of nutrients from deep rooted nettles, docks, and plentiful native grasses.  This leads to superior taste and texture but also higher level of vitamins, minerals and fatty acids in the meat.

We seek every opportunity to support small local operations, extending to the processing of our meat where our product is hung on the bone for at least 3 weeks to develop a beautifully rounded depth of flavour.
