Who we are
Moss Peteral is an 1100-acre holding in Northumberland National Park, between Hadrian's Wall and Kielder Forest. It is archetypal wide open moorland where the ground squelches underfoot and the sky goes on forever above. In terms of biodiversity it's a jewel with several conservation designations and a range of habitats, but agriculturally the land is classified as Severely Disadvantaged, farming-wise it's only suitable for hardy breeds of sheep and cattle. There's a long history of Galloway cattle breeding here and our Watershed herd of pedigree White Galloways enable management for conservation whilst producing great tasting, nutritionally dense beef.
