Who we are
"The pedigree herd of Belted Galloways graze 630 hectares of National Nature Reserve, known as Goss Moor, which is the largest remnant of the Mid Cornwall Moors. They are the most important tool utilised by Natural England in managing the site, grazing wetlands and preventing successional scrub, to preserve the mosaic of habitats that are present. The herd is bred primarily for conservation grazing, but utilising technology and data, fertility and weight gain is tracked to be constantly targeted for improvement. The herd is also part of a high health scheme. Pedigree breeding stock are sometimes available."
