What we stand for

Nature-friendly farming producing the best Organic, 100% grass-fed beef and lamb.

Welcome to our small family farm near Thame, on the border of Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire. We produce organic-certified, pure pasture-fed beef and lamb from our small herd of Longhorn cows and small flock of Gotland sheep. All our animals are born and raised on the farm. We do not buy in any livestock, just raising our own calves and lambs which are fed by their mothers until they are weaned, then they spend their lives grazing outdoors in our meadows. Animal welfare and farming with nature are at the heart of what we do. We use adaptive paddock grazing, moving our cattle daily and sheep every few days so they are well-nourished on fresh pasture and maintain the best health. We rarely use medicines, they are only used if necessary, even wormers are kept to a minimum. Instead, we test our animals’ dung to check for worms, treating only if needed. Many of our cattle leave the farm having never had any medicines or wormers at all.We also have lovely orchards which are maintained with absolutely no chemicals at all. Our fruit is pressed locally to make delicious apple and pear juice. We also sell organically-tanned sheepskins from our special sheep. We farm in a way to minimise soil damage, protecting soil carbon and soil microbiology, thus ensuring soil and plant health and healthy animals and people in turn. We minimise the use of fossil fuels, just making hay or silage for the winter months. The farm has some wonderful wildflower meadows, lush permanent pasture river meadows and herbal leys, a network of thriving hedges and pockets of scrub and woodland, giving the animals a rich and diverse diet. We continue to plant more trees and hedges. There is plenty of space for wildlife, we have gradually seen birds like kestrels, warblers and swallows return, along with duck, snipe, herons and other birds in our wetlands. There are grass snakes and frogs, deer and hares. Biodiversity and bio-abundance are increasing. The livestock themselves are breathing life back into the land. Only 50 miles from London, nature is able to flourish. Footpaths and public events including school visits and farm walks ensure people have access to this beautiful place and are able to connect with farming and nature, listening to birdsong and immersing themselves in a healthy green ecosystem, bringing peace, joy and wellbeing.  We have a small farm shop which opens from 10-12 on a Saturday morning, all are welcome!
