About adopt
Do you have an idea you would like to trial on your farm?
ADOPT (Accelerating Development of Practices and Technologies) is part of the Farming Innovation Programme, funded by Defra and delivered in partnership with Innovate UK. It supports collaborative, farmer-led trials to test practical ideas that could improve productivity, resilience or sustainability on farm. Projects must involve at least two farming businesses and include a registered project facilitator. The lead farming business must be based in England, but collaborating farms can be based anywhere in the UK. Two grants are available: a £2,500 Facilitator Support Grant to help develop your idea and prepare a full application, and a Full ADOPT Grant supporting trials with total eligible project costs of £50,000-£200,000, lasting 6-24 months.
