Consultant Bio
Dr Bethan Till is Pasture for Life's North Wales Farm Advisor. She currently lives on the Shropshire/Wales border, but her home family beef and sheep farm is in Beddgelert in North Wales, where they farm Welsh Mountain Sheep and have recently joined Innovis breeding programme to improve flock genetics.

Bethan's background
Bethan has a degree in Veterinary Bioscience from the University of Glasgow and a PhD in Dairy Nutrition from Harper Adams University where she investigated feeding algae to cows in order to increase the milk and cheese content of omega 3 whilst also boosting fertility.
During her time at Harper Adams, Bethan had the opportunity to present her work at both National and International conferences, travelling to Ireland and the USA. She also won a Henry Plumb Foundation Scholarship to attend the 28th Commonwealth Agriculture Conference in Edmonton, Canada.
Following her PhD, Bethan worked as a member of the Transition Management System at Premier Nutrition, where she gained extensive experience on cow signals, focusing on transition cows (3 weeks pre and post calving). Following her time at Premier Bethan worked for ForFarmers for 6 years, firstly as an account manager and then as part of the technical team - focusing on transition cow and youngstock management. She has extensive experience in formulating diets for sheep, beef and dairy units, and for solving nutritional issues on farm.
