Philip's background
Philip’s core interest lies in sustainable and regenerative agricultural systems, where he draws on his experience in business management, financial planning, and practical farming to assess and optimise operations from soil to sale. He is practiced in integrating livestock and arable enterprises to maximise soil health, with hands-on experience of grazing systems ranging from intensive dairy to extensive, pasture-based beef and sheep.
Beyond the farm gate, Philip understands processing and direct sales through the association of farms he has managed with on-farm diversifications. He is a strong advocate of short supply chains, supporting local economies and connecting producers directly with consumers.
